Latest guest star, "Little Miss Sunshine"
Access Hollywood has learned that 10-year old Abigail Breslin --who stole the hearts of millions of Americans in summer's indie film sensation in "Little Miss Sunshine"-- has been cast as a guest star in the much-anticipated third season of "Grey's Anatomy."
However, you'll have to wait to find out any more details about the character which she'll play. The new season premieres on Thursday, September 21st on ABC.
Breslin, 10, who first shot to fame playing one of Mel Gibson's daughters in 2002's"Signs," has appeared in films including "Raising Helen" and "The Princess Diaries 2," and numerous television programs.
Ellen stirring up trouble on the set of Grey's? Say it ain't so!
Stick-thin actress Ellen Pompeo has turned the set of Grey's Anatomy into a battlefield — and it's all due to her overinflated ego and insistence that she's the star of the show, sources say.
According to insiders, Ellen — who portrays Dr. Meredith Grey on the smash ABC drama — has outraged fellow cast members and show producers with diva-like behavior and demands for more money and preferential treatment.
"Just call her pompous Pompeo," said a show insider. "She's appointed herself the star of the series and has gone as far as to insist on separate interviews from the rest of the cast while on an overseas press junket." Ellen's arrogant attitude is getting on people's nerves, according to the insider.
"Ellen's become an insufferable jerk and her co-stars have really begun to resent her attitude and actions."
Tensions mounted during a recent cast trip to Monte Carlo, where Ellen reportedly insisted she be interviewed separately. Her publicist, Jennifer Allen, said it was producers who made the request "because she is the star of the show."
But that's not the way everyone recalls the situation.
"Ellen wanted to be interviewed alone, by herself," said a source close to the show.
"Grey's is an ensemble show, and there's no room for that kind of a star trip around here.
"Frankly, Patrick Dempsey is a much bigger star than Ellen ever will be. But even he doesn't have the same kind of ridiculously inflated ego she has."
Ellen also thinks her paycheck should be heftier than those of her cast mates, claims the source.
"I think she believes she should be getting the same kind of money that the Desperate Housewives stars make — in the $200,000-plus an episode range."
With Grey's move from Sunday to Thursday nights this fall — in an attempt to muscle out CBS' ratings smash CSI — insiders are saying that cast members are on edge about Ellen's antics.
"Ellen's turned the set into a war zone," maintained the insider.
"The show may be called Grey's Anatomy, but that doesn't mean the Grey character can't be replaced. The show is a success because of the interplay of the large cast, not one actor in particular." [Source]
To be honest, I wouldn't be too surprised if this story were completely true. If you saw her on Punk'd, she does seem kind of catty. But that's just my opinion. And then again, this is coming from The National Enquirer, so take it as you will.
Kate Burton is set to return to ABC's medical drama Grey's Anatomy next season, reprising her Emmy-nominated recurring role as Ellis Grey, the ailing mother of Ellen Pompeo's character. [Source]
According to Ausiello: No official confirmation, but there's mounting evidence to suggest that McSteamy will be a major part of Grey's this season. I think I already told you guys that ABC served a special McSteamy martini at its press tour bash. Seems like an odd thing to do if the character weren't coming back. And Shonda Rimes herself admitted in Friday's Grey's-themed Ausiello Report that Dane made a huge splash during his brief, one-episode stint last February. But the most compelling clue comes from a source over at CSI: Miami. My South Beach spy says Dane was originally approached to play Natalia's soon-to-be-introduced shady ex, but Miami producers were informed that he was "unavailable." Rob Estes will now be stalking Eva La Rue instead. Bottom line: McSteamy's McReturning.
Find out in the first three episodes of season 3... Maybe...
According to The Chicago Sun-Times: "Dempsey is either kidding or wishful-thinking. He already knows "Grey's" will resolve the long-suffering love triangle -- a source of annoyance for many fans -- in the first three episodes of its third season. That's why Dempsey was relieved when last season's finale put McDreamy and Meredith back in the sack."

For those of you who are spoiler weary, I'm just letting you know.... read no further!
From Michael Ausiello's Ausiello Report: "You won't believe this, but I once again found myself in a hospital while in Los Angeles covering the TCA Press Tour. But unlike the Root Canal Crisis of 2005, this year's medical intervention didn't involve any pain, just some mild heart palpitations, high blood pressure and sweaty palms. And the doctors attending to me bore the names McDreamy, Meredith, Izzie and Addison. If you haven't figured out where I'm going with this yet — and if the headline hadn't already given it away — I pity you. I, along with 60 other TV critics and reporters, was admitted to Grey's fictional Seattle Grace Hospital on July 20 for an emergency tour of the set and a brief consultation with the cast. I was sprung after only an hour, but I learned quite a lot during my Anatomy lesson. For instance:
So, I've deleted all the dead links and irrelevant sites that have been submitted here. I sure got a lot of "Visit/Travel Vietnam" links and some "Air Jordan shoes".... UGH! And then I had to fix the problem of having negative links in some of the categories. I don't really know how it's possible to have minus links... but that's what it said. Meh! Problem solved. If you see a broken link, or a link that leads to some non-Grey's site, please report it by clicking "Report" under the link. Thanks!
I'm also thinking of ideas for a new layout. I'm thinking something with either a layout featuring just Kate Walsh or perhaps Kate and Patrick Dempsey or a George/Callie layout. I dunno. I'm just waiting to find the right picture to get inspiration.
